What every roofer doesn't tell strangers

If your buddy was a roofer, he'd tell you this over a beer. Here's what we'd tell you anyway — before you sign anything.

What strangers get told: Higher price = better quality

The materials on a $12K roof and an $18K roof usually come from the same supplier. The price gap is rarely about what's going on your house.

What friends actually know

GAF, Owens Corning, CertainTeed — everyone buys from the same supply houses. The price gap is overhead and margin, not the shingles on your roof.

What strangers get told: All quotes should be similar

You get three quotes and they're $5,000 apart. The salesman tells you the gap is because their work is better.

What friends actually know

The gap is the business model. TV commercials, big sales teams, fancy showrooms — that all gets added to your quote. Same roof, different overhead.

What strangers get told: Cheapest wins

The lowball quote looks great until you find out what got skipped. No ice shield. Subcontracted labor. Thinner underlayment.

What friends actually know

Compare line items, not totals. Same materials, same tear-off, same warranty. When everything matches, the real price reveals itself.

What strangers get told: A warranty is a warranty

Some "lifetime" warranties have fine print that voids coverage after a few years. And if the company goes under, that workmanship warranty goes with them.

What friends actually know

Ron Bell Roofing is GAF Certified PLUS-certified, so your warranty is backed by the manufacturer directly. And we've been here 38+ years across South Florida. We're not going anywhere.

What strangers get told: Wait until spring

That's when prices peak and crews are slammed. Convenient timing if you're a sales rep working on commission.

What friends actually know

South Florida weather lets us install year-round. Off-peak usually means better material rates and open crew calendars — same roof, less money.

In your price

Premium Materials

The same top-tier shingles and underlayment we'd put on our own house. Sourced direct, no quality compromise.

In your price

Our Crew, Fairly Paid

The same team on every job. Not subcontracted out to whoever's cheapest that week.

In your price

Enough Margin to Keep Going

Enough to keep the crew employed and the business healthy — so we're still here in 10 years when you need us.

Not in your price

No Stranger Tax

No padding for TV ads, billboards, or a sales department. The price is built around what the job actually costs — nothing more.

 and team

"Same roof we'd put on our own house. Same price too."

I've been doing this in South Florida for 38+ years. Most roofing companies don't make it past five. We're still here because we do the work right and we don't play games with pricing.

Here's the truth: every roofer has two prices — one for strangers, one for people they actually know. We just give everyone the second one. Same materials. Same crew. Same warranty. Priced like we actually know you.

If you ever need to call us, we answer. That's the pledge.

"Ron Bell Roofing really exceeded my expectations with our roof replacement. From start to finish, communication was great—they kept us in the loop the whole time and always let us know what was coming next and where we were in the process. After everything was finished, we walked the entire yard and only found one nail, which honestly says a lot about how thorough and careful they were with cleanup. Job well done. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Ron Bell Roofing to anyone needing a new roof."

"We had our roof replaced by Ron Bell Roofing at our home in North Palm Beach and are extremely happy with how everything turned out. The whole process was smooth and well organized from start to finish. The crew showed up on time, kept the jobsite clean, and the quality of the work really stands out. Our new roof looks great and gives us peace of mind moving forward. Highly recommend them if you need a roof replacement."

"Highly recommended!!! Ron Bell Roofing was easy to work with from day one. The crew showed up on time, kept the area clean, and took care of everything without any stress. Communication was clear throughout, and the customer service really stood out. I’d definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone needing roofing work!"

"In 2007 after a major storm my roof was contracted for major repair by Andrews Roofing, at a cost of $26000. My contract stated they were to have completely stripped my old roof off and apply a total new roof. Unfortunately Andrew's Roofing repairs was not up to standards, which was confirmed by a roof engineering company. $26000. and 5 yrs later my house had 8 leaks. I called Andrew's Roofing and informed them, but they would not even come out to fix the problem. After making a call to Ron Bell, they immediately came out and found that all the flashing around my house was rotted and had been covered with a paint to appear it was replaced. They quickly replaced the entire flashing before the rain came with several workers.I wasn't able to pay for the entire repair and Ron was very understandable and let me work out a payment plan. I highly recommend Ron Bell and have referred his services to anyone that wants a "top notch" repair."

"I have used twice for two roof leaks on a flat roof (one indoor and one outdoor). Both times they came out and fixed the roof at 15-30% less than other quoted companies. In one case they fixed a larger patch than originally planned and did not charge. After two years, still no leaks."

"I had my roof replaced by Joe Manick and the team at Ron Bell, Inc., and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Joe was professional, organized, and communicative from start to finish. The crew worked efficiently, kept the site clean, and completed the job on schedule. Quality of workmanship was excellent and they addressed all my questions promptly. I highly recommend Joe Manick and Ron Bell, Inc. to anyone needing reliable, high-quality roofing work."

Before you decide

Straight answers. No runaround.

Lean overhead. We don't run TV commercials, we don't carry a big sales team, and we don't pay for a fancy showroom. We get our materials direct, our crew is in-house, and we run a tight business. The savings show up on your quote — not in some sales rep's commission.
No. Every roof is installed by our crew. We don't hand the job off to whoever's cheapest that week. Our team knows our standards, uses our process, and has been with us. That's how we guarantee consistent quality across every job.
The full manufacturer warranty on materials — same as you'd get from any certified installer. Because we're GAF Certified PLUS-certified, it's backed by the manufacturer directly. We also include a workmanship warranty on our labor.
Most standard residential roofs are completed in a single day. Tear-off starts in the morning, new roof is on by the afternoon, and cleanup is done before we leave. Larger or more complex roofs may take two days — and we'll tell you that upfront.
Good — you should. Just make sure you're comparing apples to apples: same materials, same underlayment, same tear-off, same warranty. When you compare our price to a quote with the same scope, the difference speaks for itself. That's the whole point of friends & family pricing — you can actually see it.
No. The quote you get is the price you pay. No change orders mid-job, no surprise fees, no pressure tactics. Get your price, compare it, and decide on your own timeline.
